Step 1: Tour
We invite you to drop by our spring open house or call/email Stephanie at 815-877-1600/ email@example.com for a personal tour.
After touring Spectrum and learning about our educational philosophies and methods, we hope you feel Spectrum Progressive is the right fit for your son or daughter. If so, please call us at 815-877-1600 to schedule your student visit and assessment day!
Step 2: Student Visit and Assessment
Students visit the classroom for a day. Prior to your visit day, please complete the New Student Application and provide a recent report card or progress report from your child's current school. Any assessment information you may have is also requested at this time. During the visit, your student will be assessed and observed by the classroom teachers. The Resource Specialist may be consulted if additional assessment is needed. There is a $50 fee for the visit and assessment day, due on the day of visit.
Step 3: Review of Application
All materials and information about a prospective student are reviewed by the Executive Director and Director of Admissions and Outreach together with input from the classroom teachers. Families are notified in the week following the visit and assessment day.
For fall enrollment new students can complete the registration process beginning February 1, following the Board of Directors tuition meeting. We do accept new students throughout the year if space is available. The following documents are required,
New Student Application
Re-enrollment and Emergency Form
Tuition Automatic Payment Plan Authorization Form
Copy of certified birth certificate
A $200 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. A statement of tuition charges will be sent to you in June. When a level fills to capacity, a waiting list is established. There is no guarantee that those on the waiting list will be placed into our Fall program. After July 1, any unconfirmed registrations will lose their space to a student on the waiting list.
We are excited you have taken the time to get to know Spectrum and learn about progressive education! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 815-877-1600 or stop by the school.
