Student Council
The Student Council is made up of representatives from Early, Middle, Upper Elementary and Middle School. Our goal is to participate in community and school service. The representatives take this very seriously and are proud to be on the Council.
Some past projects include fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, "Quarters for Kids" campaign to benefit the Burpee Museum and Discovery Center, and Hats/Mittens/Glove Drive for the children of Haskell School. Last year the Council added a school mascot, the Phoenix, through a school-wide contest.
The Council also runs the School Store which is open every month and sells school supplies.

Yearbook
The Yearbook Club was formed to give Upper Elementary and Middle School students an opportunity to learn about how our yearbook is put together. The club is led by a Parent Volunteer/Advisor. Students are allowed to choose areas of the yearbook production process on which they can focus. The Club members meet regularly in smaller groups to discuss specific issues relating to design, layout, photography, sales and distribution. The entire club meets to give updates on progress in these areas. Students learn to navigate through the Lifetouch website where the layout work is done.
Principles of layout, theme, photography, sales and deadlines are emphasized throughout the process. Lifetouch, the company that produces the yearbook, provides a tour of their Loves Park facility where the yearbooks are actually produced. This gives Club members a unique look at a manufacturing process. The members of the Yearbook Club will take to high school a great deal of knowledge about the yearbook production process.
