Last year we added Google chromebooks to the mix and that too is proving positive. If you don’t know about chromebooks, they are inexpensive (approximately $170) laptops that connect to the internet in 8 seconds when opened. They have no storage or software. All work is saved to the “cloud” and it makes no difference if you buy a Samsung, Acer or Asus. Students can access their work from anywhere and at any time. If your child “shares” his or her work, you can even make editing suggestions from your computer!
Spectrum is now a GAFE School! We are incorporating Google Apps for Education into our program and have found that the current and relevant sources and ease of teacher/student communication is having a very positive effect on our teaching and learning.
We strive to not only be progressive, but leaders in education.
