Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

World Explorers’ & Trail Blazers’ Journal! Feb. 14 – Feb. 18

Trailblazers are going to begin preparations for our art auction soon. We are looking for donations of gently used Jenga games, chess boards/pieces, loads of Mardi Gras beads, wooden picture frames of all sizes, or wooden block sets. Message Kelli if you have any possibilities. Thanks!

Valentines & Presentations!

Signs of spring, tacos, muppets, landforms, snowstorms, record players and more! We had quite the variety with this year’s Valentine boxes.

This week, students are working on a Show What You Know presentation to give them the opportunity to teach us about something in which they excel. Kelli went first and turned her presentation into Valentine snacks that were “Covid-friendly, Mother Nature-wrapped” fruits and drinks in glass bottles. Presentations will start Thursday after we have had time to prepare.

Composers!

Trailblazers are composing their own music! They’ve learned how to write out rhythms and now are adding notes of the scale to each rhythm. Students will play their compositions on their band instrument or boomwhackers, which are pitched tubes.

The World Explorers partnered up to play a math game - Collect Two Dollars!

The sun was shining and there was no wind. It made for a perfect recess!
