Art of Food Elective!
Our first Art of Food elective was a huge success! The students painted pumpkins and then had a special treat of pumpkin bars made by Ms. Annika. We also created next week’s menu for Witches Stew/Soup. Each student will bring in an ingredient (cooked if necessary) for their group’s stew.
Mallet Madness Elective Week 1!
We played the body directing game on our Mallet instruments. Students learned when to play mallets with both hands or alternate. We learned how to play a glissando and tremolo. We had fun playing the rhythms to the poem, Pease Porridge and played percussion instruments to highlight the American folk tale, Johnny Appleseed!
