Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Letter from the Board: September 4, 2026

Dear Spectrum Families and Friends,

I am very excited to announce that, after serving as Treasurer this past year, I’m stepping into the role of Board President.

Spectrum has been a part of my life for a long time. I was a Spectrum student myself, and today my two daughters get to be students at Spectrum as well, having started as preschoolers and now in Intermediate Elementary. Professionally, I hold a degree in Environmental Engineering and have worked at Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. for the past 13 years, currently as an Application Engineering Supervisor. Honestly, I feel I owe some of my success to the foundational critical thinking and creativity skills I first learned here at Spectrum.

I truly believe in what Spectrum offers our children and our community. Spectrum equips its students for the world by helping them grow into kind human beings who think for themselves, reason critically, solve problems creatively, and lead with confidence. With a focus on the arts in addition to academics, I see that students tend to grow into very well-rounded individuals.

My time as Treasurer gave me a close look at how our school runs and I feel ready for this next step. As I get settled into my new role, my focus is on making sure Spectrum is steady and strong, continuing the thoughtful, values-driven work our school has always stood for.

Please let me know if you are ever curious about what the Board does or want to get involved — whether through joining the Board, PTO, a committee, or other volunteer opportunities. Our school runs on the strength of its community, and we need and appreciate your help. I’d love to hear from you!

Thank you for trusting us with your children’s education. I look forward to a wonderful and fun year ahead!
