Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Upper School Highlights! Oct. 12 – Oct. 16

Art Elective created these beautiful Mexican Alebrije art out of clay...what talent our students have!

¡La comunidad cuida de la comunidad!

A HUGE shoutout to Marrufo’s Tacos for helping us celebrate the final day of our Session 1 Spanish con Amigos elective! After reviewing everything we learned over the past 5 weeks and discussing the significance of El Día de la Hispanidad, Columbus Day, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we wrapped up our final class with a delicious taco lunch and churros!
Marrufo’s generously donated churros, three kinds of dipping sauces, and taco salsas to help complete our celebration (sorry for no pictures, but these kids were HUNGRY!) We’re so grateful for local businesses that support our students and help make learning experiences like these even more special!

Fun last Art Elective n Improv class...do you recognize your children?

Taekwondo: what a great physical and mental exercise...they love it!

Music with Ms. Sue!

Evan is leaning to play the trombone and off to a great start! Upper is working on playing The Hard Rock Blues with bucket drums and Evan on trombone. We will be performing at the November All School Sharing. As a class, we also learned a cup passing routine using the theme from The Adams’ Family. Focus was on steady beat and working as a team.

Lorcana Final Week!

We capped off our Lorcana Strategy Academy elective with a tournament and tons of prizes! Congrats to Leo and Bennett who won their respective brackets in the tournament, earning a champion playmat!

Have a relaxing weekend!
