Day of the Dead Art with Ms. Laura Gomel!
Rhythm and Dance Elective...having fun moving!

Spanish Con Amigos Elective!
This week in Spanish, we went over numbers 1-30 and the months of the year so we could tell people when our birthday is in Spanish! (ie: September 29th = ventinueve de septiembre). We also played a 1-versus-1 game of Encuentra y Toca (find and tap), where I said a classroom object in Spanish, and the first student to find and tap it, won! Lastly, we listened to a Halloween story in Spanish to learn some Halloween vocabulary.
IE made Haunted Houses on Thursday...make sure to look closely to get the scary effects!
Art of Food Elective!
Our Art of Food Elective was a hit this week! The witches brews turned out great. The meat and vegetables stew was delicious. The sweet brew was yummy and our fruit brew was great!
Doubles Yoga...aren’t we flexible!
Mallet Madness Elective!
We played the director game focusing on playing mallets with both hands together and separately, glissandos and tremolos. We played Pease Porridge Hot focusing on specific parts for woods (xylophones) /drums and metals ( metallophones and glockenspiels). Students learned to swing rhythms to Jack and Jill and melodic direction. We added fun Halloween music and learned how to play sixteenth notes to the poem, Peanut Butter Pie.
