Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Bluejays’ Journal: Dec.10 – Dec.14

Action-Packed week!

On Tuesday, December 18th, Upper Elementary as well as Middle School will be building Gingerbread Houses! Feel free to send in some candy to make your student’s house as spectacular as possible!

Also, next Thursday, December 20th at 6:00PM, Upper Elementary as well as Middle School will be running a Bake Sale before the Winter Assembly! If you’re in a position where you’re able to donate any baked goods, it’d be DEEPLY appreciated! If not, at least bring some cash and go home with some tasty treats!

Thanks!!

Stocking Day

…math packets, all about me now stockings and mazes (and we finished our applesauce ornaments)

Candy Cane Day

Ever wonder what happens to candy canes in hot water, cold water, or canola oil? We found out today. We also watched a video about how candy canes are made, and did all the usual school stuff with a candy cane twist! Plus we finished stocking day by making compliment stockings.

Collaborating with Middle School

Making planets from dust particles with Middle School.

North Pole Day

We practiced our map skills following Santa’s trip, read passages about the North Pole and started our STEAM challenge. Team Walrus flew a plane 30 feet. Stay tuned for the conclusion of the challenge!

Poinsettia Day

Pickles and poinsettias for the day.

See you next week for the last entry of 2018 for the Bluejays' Journal!
