Earth Day notes!

In observation of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day this week, the students learned about plastic and plastic pollution. They were asked to share some ideas on how we could reduce plastic garbage:

I can use reusable bags instead of plastic bags when I go shopping.
I can bring my own reusable containers to take home leftover food from a restaurant.
I can use a metal water bottle instead of plastic ones.
Instead of having prepackaged meals for lunch, I can use multiple use containers.
I can start recycling in my house.
I could use glass cups instead of the plastic ones.
I could use glass plates instead of the paper plates.

What else can we do?
