Creative Creations in Intermediate!
This week in Intermediate, our students worked with pieces of wood to create a plethora of awesome creations, such as a downhill movement contraption, a trestle wipeout, a shooting gallery, a spiral shaft, a curved conveyor, a roadway track, and an alpine slope!
Intermediate Fishing Trip!
WOW! What a perfect fishing field trip for IE. They caught 36 fish! Or was it 39? What wonderful sportsmanship they showed. Respectful, followed directions, put the caught fish back, took turns, made me proud.
Special thank you to the two Fathers that made the fishing possible – Ailena’s Dad, Calwin, and Brooks’ Father, Tyler. Also so grateful to the grandfathers and parents that joined us: Mick-Luna’s Grandfather, Big Pappa – Artie’s Grandfather, Levi’s Mother Kayla, Lyla’s Mom, Danielle (who caught 4 fish – not counted), James’ Dad, Andrew and Baba. Thank you to Carol – Luna’s Grandmother and Angelica -Serafina and Mirabel’s Mom for the treats!

Birdsongs and Beyond Elective!
Our birds of the week were the Song Sparrow and Blue Jay. We read a book about the different ways birds make nests and how quickly birds grow from egg to leaving their nests. We played instruments to the Angry Bird music theme song and took a hike looking for birds. We identified Dark -Eyed Juncos in the trees.
Playing a music game with Ms. Sue to learn the treble clef lines and space letter names!
