Earth Day Thoughts:
Living so near where eagles spy
Where heron flight and wild turkey are common sites
Roadside hawks swooping
Loons on rivers and lakes, diving, looking heavy in the water
Finding peace in bird song in early morning school routines
Wishing to see the woodpecker and blue jay announcing their presence in the distance
Grateful for sunrise, full moons, and planets aligning
To be witness to this magnificent space
A regional place: The Rock, The Pecatonica, The KIshwaukee, The Fox
Rock Cut, Nygren, Severson Dells…
Full of green and water and life
Backyard bird feeders, nascent gardens, new binoculars…
