Thank goodness Halloween is over. The amount of candy that came back for donation to the Switch Witch is amazing. I don’t think I would have been willing to do that as a kid. Thank you for all the support! I am sure the veterans will appreciate the treats!
I am looking forward to some uneventful weeks ahead. Somehow just having time to focus on teaching and learning without any “extras” is nice. We will be intensifying our focus on literacy through differentiated groups and “reading as thinking” strategies across the school. Next week, visualizing and pattern finding will be taught explicitly and practiced and applied in learning centers and stations as well as reading groups. Let’s see what they say about visualizing and patterns at the end of next week!
