Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Early Elementary Highlights! Jan. 22 – Jan. 26

Early students working on place value with groups of ten!

IE & EE team up for a symmetry/adding/art challenge with snowflakes!

So many big ideas in Art class!

A big thank you to Ms. Sue for donating pom water bottles. Many students in Early were quickly inspired and we ended up with a couple of snowmen, a bird feeder that is also a percussion instrument, and some containers with creative carrying methods. It was a great day to create!

STEM Snowflake Challenge!

Mozart!

We are learning about Mozart’s life and music. Mozart wrote a series of variations based on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We learned what the word, variations means and sang the song. The ABC song and Baa Baa Black Sheep uses the same melody as Twinkle. We split up in groups and sang them all at the same time. We also listened to Mozart’s Rondo Alla Turka and learned about form using popsicle puppets.

We added instruments to the words of the poem: Winter Days Are Here!
