Thinking, Creating, Reflecting: Impacting the Future

Early Elementary: Sept. 9 – Sept. 13

Halloween Origami & Ikebana!

So many fun activities with Ms. Keiko in Japanese this week! Students are learning to count and introduce themselves in Japanese, as well as learning about Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging!

First stage of preparing our “Kindness Rocks” to hide around our school!

Ole' Salty's Chips!

It’s super fun when your Grassroots sharing involves a huge bucket of “Ole Salty’s” chips so everyone can have a sample! Ole Salty’s has been locally owned and operated since the 1980’s. Thanks for sharing, Mariah!

Edwards' Apple Orchard!

October shared some Edwards’ Apple Orchard apples for our Grassroots discussion. We taste-tested zestar apples and green apple twists, yum!

3 Ways to Solve 1 Math Problem!

Math Workshop: 3 ways to solve one problem!

There are 40 pencils and 8 kids. How many pencils can each kid have?

Whether we used objects, drew math pictures, or used the number chart, we all got the same answer!

The ability to choose a strategy that you are comfortable with is the beauty of our Math curriculum at Spectrum!

Be sure to check back next week for more sneak peaks inside the Early Elementary classroom!
