Lirpa Loof Birds!

Intermediate learned about Lirpa Loof birds on Monday! This is the first year they’ve been spotted in Illinois. First, we drew pictures of these birds. Then, at recess, we held up palm fulls of marshmallows and did our best attempt at the Lirpa Loof bird cry to try and lure them over. no catches, but I did hear that a few kids spotted them in the trees!
Happy April Fools (Lirpa Loof backwards). Keep the magic going with your kiddos! I was delighted to see them all looking for the birds!
