A huge thank you to Ms. Sue and Ms. Megan, Marci, Diane Russell, and all the teachers and staff who made our Hee Haw Hoedown and Blue Ribbon Arts Showcase the most amazing event ever! So many families, so much fun. I loved the student reflections on the masterpieces. So Spectrum.
As you spend the next week with your children, please reflect on how much they have grown and learned in the first seven-ninths of the year. (Yes, I am in the middle of fractions concepts with my math groups.) Consider the planning and execution of lessons and units that try to get children to engage, think, ask, create, make, and prove. Recognize how much the Spectrum team makes school fun, safe, and a place of belonging. Our teachers and staff go above and beyond every day. They deserve this well-earned rest, and I hope it comes with true appreciation from the parents and families of the children we serve.
